On the west side of the main island, Steymoy, is a little village called Vestmanna. It is located in a small bay. It is protected from the wheather form the sea by the neighbour island Vágoy, wich lies as a palisade outside the bay. From the North East, it is protected from the harsh with with lovely, round mountains. These mountains are easily accessed by foot. An hour walk to the north, and you get the most beautiful sight you can ever imagine, looking at the horizon, the North Ocean. On midsommer, you could bring your tent, and spend the night. You would be surrounded by the small rivers and ponds, and the most savage animal you would come across would be a sheep. A might not be paradise on earth, but it´s pretty close.
