The largest lake in Sweden is called the Vänern, and it is the third largest lake in Europe. The say that everyone in the world could fit on the surface of the lake, if they stood shoulder to shoulder.

The Vättern is the second-largest lake in Sweden, and the sixth largest in Europe.

Due to the nature of the glaciers which once covered what is now Sweden, there are thousands of lakes of all sizes carved in Sweden's landscape.
