One major difference is that the majority of translation have removed God's Name יהוה, (YHWH, or in English, Jehovah) replacing it with the generic LORD or GOD in all uppercase letter. The New World Translation has restored his Name to its proper place. Compare the following passages for example: Psalm 110:1, KJV - "The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool." Psalm 110:1, NWT - "The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is: 'Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.'" AND Luke 20:42, KJV And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand." Luke 20:42, NWT - "For David himself says in the book of Psalms, 'Jehovah said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand.'"
