Some of them are. Most of the books are either events in between the movies or events before and/or after the movies.
why on earth would some one no that
The Star Wars movies usually play on Spike on Sundays, occasionally starting early and ending late, some would consider it to be a marathon.
Disney movies often follow a somewhat similar type of story. The mother of the main character is never present, and there is usually a love story with some sort of tragedy involved.
The first Star Wars film was influenced by the Vietnam War, which took place around the time of the film's writing.
It is still possible that there will be more Star Wars movies; there are some terrific novels by Timothy Zahn which would lend themselves very well to being adapted into movies. But for now, Lucasfilm is busy making the Clone Wars TV series instead.
All those movies with a II in their title. (try Superman, star Wars, Rocky, etc)
all of the Star Wars movies "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (Richard Dryfus) E.T. (Stephen Speilberg)
ABBA was a popular group in the 1970s. Some popular movies during that time were "The Godfather" and "Star Wars."
Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope (1977) Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) Star Wars Episode 6: Return of the Jedi (1983) Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace (1999) Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones (2002) Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith (2005) Watch these movies the way they were released, not by the Episode numbers. Start with 4, 5, and 6. Then watch 1, 2, and 3. Anyone who saw Episodes 1, 2, and/ or 3 and can't figure out what the big deal is, watch Episodes 4 and 5, and then you will be pleasantly surprised. They are some of the greatest science fiction movies ever made.
Star trek is more successful. star wars may have made more money (I am unsure), but I have seen several scientific shows (i.e. Nova science now) and a bunch of scientists/computer programmers have been inspired by star trek. That's an impression that will last much longer than a few houses of george lucas, or some fanboy's star wars blog. (no offense to star wars. I like some of their games a lot.) Thank you for being the first person I know that admits Star Trek was way more succesful. All a have to say is SW=6 movies, 1 ongoing TV show; ST: 11 movies (and counting) and 6 TV shows. To all Star Wars Lovers: Resistance is futile; you will be assimilated.
