The strangler fig / banyan tree, adapts to the rainforest by producing fruit which is eaten by birds or monkeys, when the creatures excrete their waste on another tree or plant, the fig tree grows around the other plant - using it as framework, the plant is strangled by the fig and dies, leaving the fig standing by itself. Also the raflesha flower (I think I spelled it wrong) adapts to life in the rainforest by making a smell of rotting flesh to attract insects and small creatures into it, they then fall into a pit inside the centre of the flower and are eaten by the flower.
