It's really not bad. If you parents are doing it correctly you will learn a lot more than you would in public school. Community functions and church groups can lessen the isolation of being at home. If your parents are doing it correctly you will also get specialized help and possibly an academic or life focus that will serve you well throughout your life.

Positive is that you get to watch stars and planets and you might want to find out more about them, and that study might lead you into a greater interest in science in general. Negative is that it's best done outside in the winter and you get cold.
