I personally really enjoy Morocco, but there are some negative common attributes about Morocco.
- The Fez-Marrakesh "Highway" -- It's just an absolute nightmare and forget the road from Marrakesh to Ouarzazate. It takes 4 hours to move 200 km.
- Anything that Moroccans in general don't like to speak about are completely taboo such as: Pro-Atheism, Pro-Israel, Opposition to the King (although that's also for political reasons), Pro-Sahroui and the Western Sahara Situation, and Support of the Spanish control of Ceuta and Melilla.
- Fassis, (People of Fez) especially in the old city, are quite aggressive with tourists.
- Language: English does not work in Morocco and neither does Proper Arabic. You have to speak French or Moroccan Derija.
- Casablanca: It's like New York, without any sites to see -- just endless honking, crowded streets, pubs, and McDonald's.
However, the positives of Morocco more than outweigh its negatives. The city of Rabat is exquisite, especially in central boulevards. Tangiers has a beautiful old city and Qasba. Once you know how to get around Fez, there is a lot to see.
