In the King James version

the word - Solomon - appears 279 times

the word - Solomon's - appears 25 times

These are just mentions of his name, often verses referring to someone alresdy named just say "he".... so it is impossible to extract all references to a person.

The following is a list of the verses where Solomon is first mentioned in a Bible book...

* 2 Samuel 5:14 * 1 Kings 1:10 * 2 Kings 21:7 * 1 Chronicles 3:5 * 2 Chronicles 1:1 * Ezra 2:55 * Nehemiah 7:57 * Proverbs 1:1 * Song of Solomon 1:1 * Jeremiah 52:20 * Matthew 1:6 * Luke 11:31 * John 10:23 * Acts 3:11

Solomon was the wisest person on the face of the earth. God said in 11 chronicles 1-12. that there would never be another like Solomon. Someone who has this kind of knowledge and yet is unsaved. Solomon was given the gift of understanding. Since King David I think, but not completely for sure, there were no saved kings over Israel after king David. Solomon was the son of bathsheba. the books of chronicles and books he wrote are proverbs ecclesiastes and the song of Solomon.
both 1st Kings and 2nd Chronicles

Ecclesiastes, The Song of Songs, Proverbs and some of the Psalms have traditionally been attributed to Solomon.

However, scholars say that all these works were really written long after the time of Solomon.

  • Ecclesiastes contains some Aramaic and Persian words, which would be entirely impossible in the time of Solomon.
  • The language of Song of Songs is similarly late, and it is believed to have been part of an Opera from a much later period.
  • Proverbs is a complex books with several authors. The earliest layer is about Lady Wisdom, a spirit/goddess of post-Exilic times. Subsequent material was added, talking about philosophical wisdom, but the Wisdom material, for some reason, was never removed. It was this later material that led to the tradition that Proverbs was written by the 'wise' King Solomon.
  • The psalms are a genre unknown at the time attributed to Solomon. They are believed to have been written over a period of more than two hundred years, from the time of the Babylonian Exile.

Based on this research, Solomon did not write any books in The Bible.
