This is by no means comprehensive, but here's a start:

Majority Leader & assistant -- Chairman of the party caucus. In the house the Leader of the majority party is usually elected Speaker.

Whip & assistant - responsible for counting votes before a bill hits the floor & changing minds (arm twisting) of recalcitrant party members to vote the party line.
