the divisions are just relevant to the faith issues between one and his/her God (Creator). however, all religions are having same common morals that is relevant to people relationships.
Divisions internally, and between other religions are known as sectarian conflict. Within the overall term and notion of Christianity are major fault lines between Orthodoxy and Protestant branches. Islam is highly diverse with the major division between Sunni and Shia adherents. The religion is further splintered with other groups that include Alawites and Ibadis, them also being Muslim, facing conflict from orthodox Salafists who deny them legitimacy of faith and belief.
As most religions patiently try to explain to us, human nature is sinful. People are selfish and demanding; therefore they have difficulty getting along and agreeing.
