Give some useful applications of Greenhouse Effect?

well say the attmosphere was a blanket and the blanket had a hole in it. well the sunlight goes through that hole and the blanket closes the hole to were the sunlight cannot leave the attmosphere and that causes the greenhouse effect aka global warming

Why is it called global?

It is called global warming because of greenhouse effect.and greenhouse effect happens when there is too much greenhouse gas in the atmosphere. Greenhouse gas is used for trapping some of the sun's heat for the earth's warmth. And when there are too much Greenhouse gas, all of the sun's heat gets trapped inside the earth, causing the earth's temperature to rise. Greenhouse effect is normally caused by human activities such as burning fossil fuels.

What are the effects of the greenhouse effect on the human lives?

Water vapor and other gaes including carbon dioxide that are in our atmoshere trap some of the infra-red radiation that is being reflected out into space. This means that the earth surface loses less heat to space and thus warms up.

What is the difference between the greenhouse effect and the hole in the ozone?

The greenhouse effect is some moderating gases (greenhouse gases) that allow energetic radiation to pass, but slow the passage of infrared to space. And molecule with three or more atoms is a greenhouse gas.The hole in the ozone is a natural repeating phenomenon. As the hole forms, more infrared is allowed to radiate to space, and the surface below the hole cools more. The greenhouse effect is some moderating gases (greenhouse gases) that allow energetic radiation to pass, but slow the passage of infrared to space. Why without greenhouse effect earth would freeze?

OK, It wont freeze. Earth has atmospheres which kind of keep SOME heat in but still releasing extra. The greenhouse effect wont freeze earth the less greenhouse emissions the better. Greenhouse effect is when their is ALOT of carbon in the air from cars and the sun's rays come onto Earth but wont leave. WHich causes the Earth to heat up, and in no time we will end up like Mars.... dead

What are some aspects that ozone depletion and the greenhouse effect have in common?

There are important aspects of ozone depletion and greenhouse effect. They are caused by same sources.

What are some effects of the greenhouse effect?

There is a greenhouse effect on Earth because three-atomed gases in the atmosphere retain heat and ensure that the earth stays warm. Other examples of a greenhouse effect are the atmospheres of Venus and Mars. Mercury has an atmosphere but has no greenhouse effect, as the main gases (hydrogen, helium and oxygen) are not greenhouse gases. So Mercury is a non-example of the greenhouse effect. The moon is also a non-example, as it has no atmosphere at all.

How do some people reduce the greenhouse effect?

The only way to reduce the greenhouse effect is to actually remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The only way to do this is to plant trees. Trees remove carbon dioxide through photosynthesis. Some people plant trees to reduce the greenhouse effect.

Research the greenhouse effect on the internet How much has the average temperature risen Pose possible solutions to the greenhouse effect If none are given in the article think of some on your own?

A few suggestions to answer your question:Search for the meaning of the greenhouse effect. Make sure you understand the natural effect, and the enhanced greenhouse effect.Find out how much the temperature has risen since global warming began at the start of the Industrial Revolution.Find possible solutions to the greenhouse effect, by governments and by individuals

What is the correlation of CO2 and temperature?

CO2 is a greenhouse gas. The more CO2 in the atmosphere, the more greenhouse effect we will get. The greenhouse effect is when our atmosphere reflects heat trying to leave Earth back to it. We need some of this heat back, but if we get too much of the greenhouse effect, global temperatures will keep rising higher and higher.

Is the greenhouse affect a recycling project?

No, the greenhouse effect is the effect of certain gasses such as carbon dioxide and methane (called greenhouse gasses) trapping heat near earth's surface. There is a natural greenhouse effect that keeps earth from becoming too cold, but there is some concern that human actions may be putting extra greenhouse gasses into the air and causing average temperatures to rise.

The greenhouse effect is making the earth warmer colder or windier?

The greenhouse effect is making the Earth warmer overall. This however is not apparent to the casual local observer as the changing weather patterns resulting from the same overall warming may make some areas warmer, some colder, some wetter and some drier.

What are some of Mercury's unique characteristics?

One of them is that is has a Greenhouse effect on it.

Why is the greenhouse effect important for on the Earth?

The greenhouse effect keeps the earth warm enough for life. It does this by trapping some of the sun's heat as it radiates back out from the surface of the earth. This has been happening for millions of years and is completely natural. The enhanced or accelerated greenhouse effect! which is what is happening now, is important because it is causing global warming and climate change.
