Well fail indeed, but not everyone knows so much about plants because not everybody has a real reason to study them. All plants will appear to grow fast if one is diligent and cares for the plant personally. However, there are a select few plants cultivated by humans that I would say grow rather quickly. Among them are: Marijuana, Spider Plant, Liriope, Zambraina, Baby Tears, Banana trees and several Ivies as well. But overall I would say the fastest growing plants on the planet would be grasses and weeds, and then various invasive species.
some plants that grow like Really quickly are beans, tomatos and sometimes roses!
I think it depends on what plants you are talking about because some rice plants grow best in flooded land but a lot of plants will die with out soil.
Plants grow at different rates. Some plants like bamboo grow very fast. Others grow very slowly.
Yuccas generally grow at a moderate pace compared to other plants. They are not as fast-growing as some annual plants, but they are faster than many trees and shrubs.
Banana plants grow relatively fast compared to many other types of plants. They can grow up to 10 feet in a single year under optimal conditions.
Depends on the type of plant - there is no standard. Some seasonal annual plants grow exceptionally fast and complete their lifecyle within a few weeks. Others can take literally thousands of years between germination and death. Some bamboo species can grow between 30 and 40 cm per day, other plants such as the Welwitchia desert plant will grow about 1 cm every 10 years!

Yucca plants generally grow at a moderate pace compared to other succulents. They are not as fast-growing as some succulents like sedums or echeverias, but they are not as slow-growing as cacti. Yucca plants typically grow about 1-2 feet per year under optimal conditions.
