Some prophecies in the Old Testament that foretell the coming and significance of Jesus include the prophecy of a Messiah in Isaiah 7:14, the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem as foretold in Micah 5:2, and the suffering and death of Jesus in Isaiah 53. These prophecies highlight Jesus as the promised Savior and emphasize his role in bringing salvation to humanity.
It is the down of Nazareth, to fulfill the prophecies.
Jesus is the son of God, and came into this world to save sinners, and fulfill the prophecies.
Adam did not celebrate the coming of Jesus.
A lot much according to the remaining prophecies of quran.quran fits 100% with science..!! But at the dirtiest time of islam some of its prophecies will happen like returning of Jesus(pbuh) also known in bible..!!then there will be all islam..!!
Although some claim to have seen prophecies, the original prophet was Jesus Christ the Savior, who founded the religion in the 0030's AD.
Yes, Jesus is believed to appear in the Old Testament in various forms, such as prefigurations, prophecies, and symbols.
NONE of the prophecies, made by Jesus or any of God's prophets in the Bible, were 'wrong'. They ALL came ( ...or are coming)TRUE .(Joshua 21:45)(John 13:19)(Luke 21:22)(Luke 24:44)(Acts 3:18)
There are some of Jesus' prophecies which relate to the destruction of the temple in AD 70 which are interpreted to mean that He was. This is to misunderstand their clear meaning. It is also necessary to appreciate that some prophecies can have what is referred to as a 'double-meaning', referring both to the imminent future and into the more distant future. Some prophecies also have a 'gap' in terms of when they are to be fulfilled. Since God is outside of time, He is not as bothered by these as we are with our great emphasis on dates, times and chronological sequences. In any case, Jesus did not return in the first century. Some of the earliest New Testament writings were explicitly directed to correct the mistaken idea that, even though Jesus was certainly returning, He was not to do so immediately. Christians were though, exhorted to be ready, especially in the light of the fact that God only and not man, knows the hour of Jesus return. (this despite many failed attempts at prediction through the years)
My faith in Jesus is very strong, as the prophecies were all fulfilled , and to the detail that They would cast lots for his clothes, that Jesus would arise again in three days.
Well, the Old Testaments contain what you may call the background story, I suppose. It contains all the prophecies of Jesus, and the Jews studied from the Old Testament. Jesus, who appears in the New Testament, fulfils all the prophecies written in the New Testament, which proves that he is in fact, Jesus.
Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel.
