People believe that it will effect the growth of the child, however i don't i have a friend that started Weightlifting around the age of 10 and he's now 15 and is the average height Etc.
It actually is okay to lift weights at your age. I am a 14 year old girl and i bench press a bunch of weights and i have not stunted my growth. Guys are mad to lift weights I'm not suppose to lift weights but i am strong enough to do it. The answer to you is yes.
It depends on how strong you are. It is best to keep it at about 20kg for 10 year olds, 60kg for 16+ year olds.
Well it depends how much you have worked out before I started with 7 pounders when i was 10.....Once I hit 14 I was lifting around 15-20 pounds.. Hope that answered your Question. That's nothing im 13 and i have to pick up from 0 to 1/2 pounds and moving on to 3/4 pounds i don't think i can do it though but i pick up 2/3 pounds and did 1/4 squats and 1/8 benches. well it depends on ur height and weight like see im 12 and im 5'9 and weigh 166 pounds but i can chest press 290 pounds which is way above average. if u are my height and weight u should actually bench 100 pounds and curl 40

Anyone who wants to lead a healthy life, can start working out right from the age of around 15 yrs. i dont think that age matters im 13 about 190 and can bench my weight i think it all depends on weather or not your ready physicaly. I`m also thirteen and can bench 100kg. I`m about 75kg, not fat.
I am a teenage girl with limited regular physical activity, but I started taking weights gym in September. My max bench is 100lbs and I am one of the stronger girls in my class.
