Nearly all people who suffer from anorexia have low or vunerable self-esteem. This can also be related to depression, being shy, isolation, and anxiety in trying to be "better" or to be "perfect".

Anorexia is commonly linked to low self-esteem. Poor self body image and self-consciousness are often triggers for eating disorders like anorexia. The harm to ones body caused by the disorder can also cause an individual to become withdrawn and isolated socially, as well as feel even worse about their body, contributing to low self-esteem as well.
