If a guy believes that you like him, even if you tell him you don't, then he could be liking you back. They'll try to scan for any signs, the more supposed "signs" that pop up, the more they believe you like him. Of course, guys will also notice when you pay more attention to them than others girls. Especially if they're not a real ladies man. It's really similar to a jungle. He will notice if you're watching them, and him will watch you with hopes that you're watching him back.
