Most Federal Laws are quite standard for a western country like Mexico. State and local laws, however, can be really strange:

To prevent motor vehicle accidents on the northern state of Sonora, cold beer is banned from being sold at convenience stores.

The municipality of Guanajuato in central Mexico banned public displays of affection (kisses, hugs) to "instill values and civility" among the population. So, kisses in public mean jail-time.

Tamaulipas, Oaxaca, Sinaloa and Coahuila have banned miniskirts, under the pretext to defend the respect and decency of each state.
