Some practical ones first-off! a Ring or halo around the moon forecasting rain or snow-True, ring is caused by cloud cover which coud form precipitation! Fish jumping around a tank, usually catfish, forecast bad weather- True- lower barometric pressure might induce the fish to jump around in odd patterns. Here the lower barometric pressure is the factor as humidity is at l00 as the fish are in a saturated water environment. There are other, usual weather-oriented omens involving nature and animals which have some factual base, Earthworms come out in the rain oir after minor storms ( rain, not snow). and so on.

What are the Examples of superstitions and their scientific basis if any?

Some examples of superstitions are walking under a ladder, knocking on wood, and having bad luck after breaking a mirror. Superstitions do not have a scientific basis, there might be a reason such as someone walking under a ladder might get something dropped on them, but this is not scientific.

What some superstitious beliefs and practices with scientific basis?

There are none. If a belief or practice is superstitious, then by defintion it does not have a scientific basis.

Do superstitious beliefs about meteors have scientific basis?

You are confusing a couple of concepts. NO superstitious belief has a scientific basis. If a belief is scientifically based, there is no need to call it a superstition. If a belief is superstitious it is by definition not verifiable scientifically. However, there are superstitions that result from some real events. Total eclipses of the sun are real, and they are explainable in completely natural terms. However, people at different times in history have superstitious beliefs about what is happening during an eclipse, and superstitious beliefs that performing certain rituals or prayers during an eclipse will save the world from doom. So, a superstition is an irrational belief usually connected to some magical ritual that will ward off disaster, and some superstitions have to do with real events in the world. But the superstitions themselves are not based in or verified by the real world.

When superstitions were made up?

All superstitions were made up. Some had a basis in fact (walking under a ladder) others happened because of frequent cause & effect (the athlete that doesn't wash his socks when he is on a winning streak).

Managerial economics is an art or science.explain?

Both! The ideas and concepts behind managerial economics all have a scientific basis. Some managerial decisions made using managerial economics can employ scientific explanations. On the other hand, many managerial decisions made using the concepts of managerial economics are very subjective. One must, for example estimate the intentions of competitor firms. While some of this is scientific, some of it is luck and some of it is an art.

Does superstitions practically exist?

Superstitions exist in the sense that they are beliefs or practices that are based on superstition or irrationality rather than evidence or logic. While some superstitions may have cultural or historical significance, they do not have practical or scientific validity. However, people may still hold onto superstitions due to personal beliefs, cultural traditions, or psychological reasons.

What is superstitions scientific explanation?

Many skeptic scientists simply believe that superstitions are just fear through folklore. Psychology has studied the effects of superstitions and have discovered that if the belief in the superstition is strong enough the person can suffer the effects of the result of that superstition. The explanation of the superstition is easier explained on a case by case basis. I would consider asking about a specific superstition. It seems with many superstitions they derived from an action / reaction scenario. For example: A person spilled some salt and may have had an accident and blamed the spilling of salt on the accident. The next time they spilled the salt they threw some over their shoulder and didn't have an accident that day. Thus a superstition is born. Sports athletes often have a very strong and varied form of superstitions such as never washing their socks, or a pregame ritual that they do, thinking that it will help them win.

How science opposes superstitions?

By proving that walking under a ladder will not make bad things happen to you, it may be stupidly risky if someone has a tool/bucket/tin of paint and you knock the ladder causing it to hit you but by the scientific process of prediction, testing and conclusion of results we get proof that some superstitions are wrong.
