you do not adjust the brake lights check the bulbs or check switch top of brake pedal.
Check the bulbs, check the fuse, check the brake light switch, in that order.
check the switch at the top of the brake peddle.
possible warped brake rotors. have a reputable mechanic check them.
Check wiring for 12v also the brake switch on the brake pedal.
check the switch on the top of the brake pedal.
Open your hood up and check your brake fluid reservoir.. it should be in the upper right of the engine compartment.. it's not hard to miss... check your level.
Check for a vacuum leak Check the check valve on the power brake booster
If you are referring to the warning light on your instrumentation panel, then you simply need to check all your brake lights, do not forget the center one at the rear glass.
Replace bulb with correct type and check contacts inside of the socket and clean if needed.
Things you need to check is brake fluid oil, and brake pads. If they are fine then it is the brake switch which needs replacing. Also check the handbrakes as sometimes it is left engaged.
2 things could be the problem. If the "Brake" light is on that usually comes on when you set the parking brake then it could be the brake fluid is low. Check that. If it is the "Brake Lamp" light then check your brake lights. 1 of them could be out.
