According to the information I looked up, steps you can take to lower blood pressure naturally are to limit or eliminate sodium and salt intake, eat a healthy diet, maintain a healthy weight, stop smoking, limit alcohol intake, be physically active, and try to eliminate as much stress as possible. From my own experience, I also know that certain herbs will also help. One of those is garlic (and it is inexpensive and helps in many other areas). Some companies also sell combinations of natural herbs that have been found to be promising for lowering blood pressure.

I am not your doctor, and do not know your life, so I can not say I am not not recommending medicine if a doctor has, but ways to lower your blood pressure could be simply just relaxing and doing things that are not so stressful. Not getting in situations with high amounts of stress, or worry. Best thing is to just relax. Laughter is a great medicine.

Yes ! you can lower your blood pressure without medication, but I strongly suggest having regular blood pressure tests with your doctor to monitor it. Eating garlic on a regular basis and avoiding onions will most definitely help.

It all depends on high high your blood pressure is. If you are already on medication, do not go off it without your doctors advice, try to eat at least 2 cloves of garlic every day. If you also have a weight problem, it is important you try to lose some weight as this will also have an effect on your blood pressure.

Weight loss and regular aerobic activity and appropriate diet habits are recommended at any age, though these lifestyle modifications may be of less benefit as an individual ages. Arteriosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries; as well as atherosclerosis (cholesterol lining the vessels) may occur with aging that can only be modified using prescription medications. Stress reduction techniques (such as transcendental meditation, or TM) have been documented to reduce blood pressure, along with adequate (minimum 7 hours) sleep patterns.

If you have been diagnosed with hypertension (consistently high blood pressure) and have been put on antihypertensive medication, discontinuing it without a doctor's supervision could cause the hypertension to recur, or even cause an episode of malignant hypertension, which can be life-threatening. If your blood pressure is consistently below normal, notify your doctor so he can adjust your medication if needed.
