Depends on what you mean. Aircraft is a nice noun that is both singular and plural. The usage isn't bad, it's clear when a craft of the moving type is meant, instead of of, say woodcraft, which was the one of the necessities for a working aircraft, or an aeroplane, or an airplane. It just follows the old rule of the word "craft," either being the work itself or the result of that work, and old words never work like the grammarians would like.
Some types of aircraft are aerostats, or lighter-than-air vehicles (balloons, blimps and zeppelins), fixed-wing aircraft (most of what you think of as airplanes), and rotorcraft; i.e. helicopters and autogyros, and also spacecraft that use wings to generate lift after re-entry, X-15, Space Shuttle, and Buran, for example.

I dont know if this is the answer you are looking for but the main "types" of aircraft are Commercial Jet Liners and Transport Planes General Aviation Military Aircraft and Special/Other Aircraft Some might argue that water aircraft or seaplanes has it's own category but for the most part these aircraft still fall within the other categories.
There are a few types of jobs that someone in aircraft maintenance would have to do. These include routine inspections of the aircraft, period service, and different types of checks that they call Types A through D.
6 are its own aircraft
just put the propeller in the aircraft
Aircraft type is the classification based on what the aircraft does; fighter, bomber, cargo plane, passenger plane, etc. Aircraft model denotes the particular design of an aircraft; F-14 Tomcat, B-52 Stratofortress, C-5 Galaxy, 747 Jumbo Jet. It can be confusing because types have many models, and some models are designed or modified to fulfill multiple types.
UPS operates many different types of aircraft. Linked below is UPS's own info page on this subject.
There are various types of air transportation such as commercial aircraft, privet planes, amphibious aircraft, helicopters, lighter than aircraft, hot air balloons, blimps, zeppelins, airplanes, and rockets.
