it is attacks thats shooted from far away
new Pokemon attacks and new special abilitys.
Special defense is resistant to special attacks Like flamethrower is a special attack And your pokemon has a high special defense then it should resist it.
it gives more power to the pokemons elemental attacks. example: If you got a fire Pokemon and improves the special ability.. the pokemons fire attacks does more damage.. but attacks that arent fire does not
There are ghost special attacks and ghost physical attacks in diamond and pearl. For example 'Shadow Claw' is a physical attack while 'Shadow Ball' is a special.
When your Pokemon's Speacial Defense raise it mean it is stronger to it's power. Like when your Kadabra's Speacial Defense raise it will be stronger Psy moves. Edit from lipantwort: Special defence is a stat which decreases loss of hitpoints from special attacks. Almost every attack in Pokemon is either categoried as special or physical. When physical attacks are used, defence is one of the factors which determines how big the HP loss is. When special attacks are used, the special defence is a factor which determines how big the HP loss is.
It depends what Pokemon it is, all the Pokemon that learn Close Combat learn it at different levels. From:IpingRoblox: i may help from another kind of answer: Pokemon have elements like for example: water, fire , grass, normal, etc. when you catch one it starts i think with a low level like level 1. try using the Pokemon and battling with it with other opponents. your Pokemon level up when you see a level up sign. the battle basic is for basic attacks. for special attacks is the good attacks. when you get to a certain level, your Pokemon envolves. then you will now have a higher level and stronger attacks for normal attacks and crazy ones for the special attacks.
Any water, ice, or grass type Pokemon. :) I recommend using special attacks, since Ground and Rock type Pokemon usually have good defense and low special defense.
Special Attack determines the amount of damage dealt from a move that is in the Special category of attacks. An example of a special attack would be Bubblebeam. If an attack is in the special category, it means that it is an attack in which your Pokemon's body does not make physical contact with the other Pokemon. Example: Tackle would be a physical attack, because your Pokemon charges at your opponent's Pokemon, which makes them physically contact, while Bubblebeam is projected from a Pokemon's mouth, so your Pokemon does not physically touch your opponent's Pokemon. Special Defense deals with how much protection you get from Special category moves.
Attacks using your pokemon's teeth, claws, tails, wings, etc tend to be Physical Attacks, and these use your Attack stat. Attacks that take the form of beams, flames, bolts of lightning, are Special Attacks, and these use your Sp. Attack stat. Mystery Dungeon is a little more flexible than the main pokemon games. Feraligatr for example is a potent physical attacker, meaning it does more damage with a relatively weak Physical Attack, than a comparatively more powerful Special. The reason is, because Feraligatr's Attack is much higher than its Special Attack. Mystery Dungeon pokemon don't tend to develop in quite the same way, but it's worth keeping in mind that if your pokemon has been affected with a status effect that lowers Attack, it might be better to switch to Special moves until you can cure the status effect, etc.
It quite simple. It completely depends on weather its Special attack or attack is higher. If Special attack is higher it would be better for it to use special attacks like flamethrower but if attack is higher it would be better for it to use physical attacks like flame wheel.
Water Pokemon with water attacks or Grass Pokemon with Grass attacks
it depends on your preference tododile is a strong physical attacker but weak at special attacks cyndaquil is a strong special attacker but weak at physical attacks chiakorita is acceptable as a tank but one should choose another Pokemon for a tank. so once you've figured out your preference you should base your team on that
