Because the dominant trees and shrubs that dominate the typical rain-forest biome are in fact broad leaf evergreens, that is, they do not lose their leaves, they retain them year round.
Another contributor has said: There is only one Taiga in the world, and it expands from Finland to Russia, Alaska, Sweden, Canada, and Norway. It is a subarctic evergreen forest and it is the largest biome in the world.
Evergreen forest
A type of forest with trees that do not lose their leaves is called an evergreen forest. These forests are characterized by trees that keep their leaves or needles throughout the year, providing a continuous canopy of greenery. Examples of trees found in evergreen forests include pine, spruce, and fir.
Evergreen comes from the forest or jungle.
evergreen=green throughout the name is given so because there the trees shed their leaves at different times of the year because of which they appear green throughout the year so they are called as evergreen forests.
Evergreen Forest Elementary School was created in 1978.
