Muslims worship one and only one God (Allah in Arabic); the Creator, with no partner, no companion, no son, and no resemblance.

Unfortunately, some non Muslims believe that Muslims worship different god than god of Christians or Jews. Those non Muslims are either:

  • having no understanding of Islam religion, or
  • influenced by non Muslims who intentionally propagate wrong information about Islam.

Those non Muslims, mistakenly, believe that Allah is an "Arab god" or a "moon god," or some sort of idol.

It is important to clarify that Muslims worship the same God, the Creator, worshiped by other Heaven religions; Judaism and Christianity. This same God is named in Arabic as Allah. Allah is the proper name of the One True God, in the Arabic language.

Even the Arabic speaking Christians and Jews use the name Allah in their Arabic holy books and worship Allah.

Accordingly, it is a matter of different languages that cause different names for the same God; the Creator, the All-Mighty, and the All-Merciful. It is not a matter of different God worship.

  • Muslims worship one and only one God; the Creator, with no partner, no companion, no son, and no resemblance. This means Allah is the highest being in existence, with no equal and no possible true copy.
  • One school of thought holds that all monotheistic religions - including those that see different gods as different 'aspects' - follow the same god, and that these religions define the same characteristics for it.

See the related questions for more information on the idea of different names of rthe same deity.

  • Allah appears to be a rather conflicted deity, although this is more a problem of interpretation. The Quran records words of promoting peace and mutual respect among people regardless of belief, the rationale being that nonbelievers will be dealt with by Allah when he decides to do so, not by us.
  • Allah is also stated as being eternal in various readings.
  • Allah's apparent ability to do miracles would make him an omnipotent and supernatural deity, above the normal laws of the universe. This is somewhat reasonable, as one must be outside something to get around it.
Additional informationUnfortunately, some non Muslims believe that Muslims worship different god than god of Christians or Jews. Those non Muslims are either:
  • having no understanding of Islam religion, or
  • influenced by non Muslims who intentionally propagate wrong information about Islam.

Those non Muslims, mistakenly, believe that Allah is an "Arab god" or a "moon god," or some sort of idol.

Even the Arabic speaking Christians and Jews use the name Allah in their Arabic holy books and worship Allah. Some say in Arabic 'Allah Al-Aab' that means in English 'God the father'

Accordingly, it is a matter of different languages that cause different names for the same God; the Creator, the All-Mighty, and the All-Merciful. It is not a matter of different God worship.

Also said by Arabic Christians 'Allah Al-Ab' that means in English 'God the father'.

Allah (God) has no gender as said God or Goddess. Allah has no plural as Gods or Goddesses.

Allah is the one and only one God to be worshiped without partner, associate, companion, son, father, or any resemblance.

Allah is the only God to prayed for and requested for forgiving our sins and mistakes, for supporting us in our life, for leading us to the right path, and for admitting us in His paradise and saving us from the Hell fire.

Allah is the All-merciful, the All-mighty, the All-Knowing, the All-forgiving, the All-Compasionate, the All-capable, the Creator, the Great, the Sustainer, the Just, the Judge, ... (refer to the question listed below for all Allah attributes as mentioned in Quran, Muslims holy book).

Additional View

Allah's name and identity are divine and unique thus his attributes are all perfect, divine and unique; in other words, the name "Allah" refers only to the unique supreme being in Arabic. He is , for example, the creator, meaning he creates unique things that shows his perfect divine attributes (knowledge, might, decree etc); as per the scripture of the Muslims (the Noble Quran ), Allah created the moon, the earth and the heavens and what's in between them e.g. creatures as human beings, animals and plantations etc. The best way to describe Allah (God) is to refer to chapter 112 in the Quran where it says that " there is no comparable to God " as everything in this universe is not perfect in a sense it has for example a beginning and an end yet Allah is eternal.

Almighty God has more than one hundred attributes or characteristics. He is the SOLE Creator, Sustainer and Ruler of all the worlds He has created. He has no son, no parents, no Partner. He is Merciful, Loving, Kind, Oft-Returning, Oft-Forgiving, Cherisher, Protector, Friend, Guardian, Omni-Potent, Omni-Present, All-Knowing, All-Seeing, The Designer, to cut the matter short NO ONE can describe the attributes of Almighty God (Allah).

It is He and He alone who deserves worship. It is He and He alone who fulfills all the requirements and needs of all living beings (everywhere and all the while) He has created. He listens to our prayers and grants them. He is the Master of the Day of Judgment. He is ever watchful.
