indirect and direct
There are 2 different types of valves on the 5.7 L vortex engine. Both the exhaust and fuel injection valves can be adjusted by turning the adjustment screws.
Fuel injection system fuel trim too lean (Bank 2)
2 tanks 2 fuel pumps. each tank will haves it's own fuel pump. i just put 2 new tanks and fuel pumps in my 87 stepside.
NO, 2 different types of engines and computer systems. The wiring harness's are even different. So are the fuel pumps that's in the fuel tank.
No , just 2 on the vehicle ( but there were different types , they could be steel or plastic )
Yes and it is a TBI / Throttle body injection fuel system. The item on the top of the engine that looks like a carburetor is called a throttle body and it has 2 injectors in the center of it.
Port Fuel Injection, meaning fuel injrctor sprays into the port of the intake manifold. The other type is TBI, throtle body injection. This type uses a central injector (or 2 injectors) that spay onto the throtle body butterfly. PFI is the better injection of the two
your fuel filler cap is not tightened properly or your on board diagnostic computer [obd-2] has detected anemmissions or fuel injection component fault your fuel filler cap is not tightened properly or your on board diagnostic computer [obd-2] has detected an emmissions or fuel injection component fault
Like a lot of other questions, the answer is, "It depends." Most fuel injection systems these days are "port fuel injection" in that the fuel injectors are located upstream of the intake valve. Different manufacturers use different pressures, but most are in the range of 2-4 atmospheres (200-400 kPa or 30-60 psi). The newer Direct Injection engines have two fuel pumps. The one in the fuel tank pumps fuel forward to the engine at a pressure similar to the port fuel injection systems. Mounted on the engine is a high pressure pump that pressurizes the fuel to a very high pressure and that is then transported via metal pipes to the injectors that empty directly into the combustion chambers themselves. Diesels usually have the higher pressure, engine-mounted fuel fuel pump, but may or may not have a lower pressure electric pump located in the fuel tank or in the fuel line between the tank and the enging. It may vary on the type of engine usage for exammple it may be around 100 bar for heavy duty applications but for CRDI engines it may be as high as 1000bar.
no, fuel injection is much more effiecent
1, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.
TBI stands for: Throttle body injection. That is what took place of the carburetor and it's mounted on the top center of the engine under the air cleaner on the intake manifold. It looks like a carburetor but it's not, it has 2 fuel injectors in the top of it.
