The Viet Nam conflict was not a war, it was a police action. Since there was no war, the US did not lose it.
Three reasons for the US being kicked out of Viet Nam:
1. The US troops did not see how this conflict had anything to do with protecting the US. As a result, they did not try to win as much as the native north Viet Namese.
2. The Secretary of Defense did not allow the air force, marines, navy, and army to fight properly, for instance, not allowing an attack until already being attacked.
3. The North Viet Namese were great guerrilla fighters. The US leaders thought that they could win the conflict with really big bombs, and big airplanes etc. Problem is, the North Viet Namese were never in large enough groups that bombs could kill more than a handful or two or them.
4. I had to add No 4 . . . the North Viet Namese were assisted by Russian ground crews and top-notch MiG fighters and pilots.
Couldn't stop the flow of men & material without widening the war into neutral countries.
Vietnam is a war which the US definitely lost because the goal of the war was to support the Republic of Vietnam (aka South Vietnam) and prevent it from falling to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (aka North Vietnam). Despite massive effort and sacrifice on the part of the US, South Vietnam collapsed in 1975.
NO, the US lost the Vietnam war
Communist infiltration into South Vietnam.
give two reasons why the us lost the vietnam war?
USA lost to north Vietnam not south. The south was their ally.
The US has officially only lost one war: The Vietnam War.
The US lost 58,000 soldiers and around 111-135 billion dollors lost.
yes it was back in 1653.
Because they were too stupid to realize that South Vietnam was a lost cause.
the US effectively lost the vietnam war.
To prevent the spread of communism
