1) Direct Applications (Solar Cooker, etc.)
2) Electricity Generation by PV technology (Solar Panels etc.)
3) Concentrated Solar Thermal Power generation technology (PS20 etc.)
Want to know what to examples of energy transformation. They are , turning on a light bulb and solar panels.
They are a renewable source of energy, they are quiet and they produce no pollution.
3 ways thermal energy moves is by radiation, convection and conduction
Combustion, solar radiation, and Nuclear reactions.

Solar energy is connected to chemistry in three ways:1. Conventional solar cells are created from silicon. Chemistry is used to purify and cut the silicon. Also, chemistry allowed us to find the semiconducting ability of silicon in the first place.2. Nanotechnology is harnessing chemistry to create polymers that can be used for solar power in new ways - flexible solar cells, cheaper materials, and more efficient solar power.3. Chemists are finding ways to separate hydrogen from oxygen in water so that we can change solar energy (light) into chemical energy (hydrogen, which can be stored and burned).

It's not likely. Only 3% of Americans use sun, wind, water, and thermal energy as sources of electricity.
Solar power is a sustainable energy source; the Sun emits solar energy regardless of whether we capture it and transform it into electricity. This means that it can be used as an energy source indefinitely without fear that the resource providing it will run out. 1. Solar energy is free although there is a cost in the building of 'collectors' and other equipment required to convert solar energy into electricity or hot water. 2. Solar energy does not cause pollution. However, solar collectors and other associated equipment / machines are manufactured in factories that in turn cause some pollution. 3. Solar energy can be used in remote areas where it is too expensive to extend the electricity power grid. 4. Many everyday items such as calculators and other low power consuming devices can be powered by solar energy effectively. 5. It is estimated that the worlds oil reserves will last for 30 to 40 years. On the other hand, solar energy is infinite (forever).
Solar, wind, hydro.
Solar energy is a non-conventional source of energy in todays date but is expected to have a revolutionary effect on mankind later. It has a lot of use in solar cookers, solar water heaters etc. However with the invention of solar cells, it can also be used for generation of electricity. The solar panel consists of two plates the upper of silicon-arsenic and the lower of silicon-boron. It absorbs the solar energy, converts it into electrical energy and then moves the dynamo to induce current.

There are a few different ways of doing this. 1 Have the solar energy heat water into steam that is stored in well insulated tanks that steam is then used to drive turbines to generate electricity when the sun do not shine. 2 Use the solar energy to heat metallic salts that are stored in well insulated containers and used in times of low sunlight to heat water. 3 Have electricity generated by the solar energy lift heavy weights up, then when the sun do not shine these weights travels down and then generates new electricity. 4 Have sunlight heat water in a indoor pool during the day and then use the heated water to heat your house during the night. 5 Store the electricity in batteries for use later on There are many other ways as well, but non of these are very effective yet and this is an area that engineers work on all over the world right now
