Emotion is a display of how someone is feeling.

There are negative and positive emotions.

There are basically 5 primary negative emotions. Anger, Fear, Grief, Sadness, Apathy.

Positive emotions include: Interested, Joy, Enthusiasm, Contented, Centered

You are always feeling an emotion. You may call what you are feeling by another name. To me these are similes for the already mentioned emotions, when chunked up high enough. Having said that the feeling you are feeling can be different from one of the primary negative emotions.

e.g. Frustration feels very different to anger. Yet, frustration is part of anger.

Frustration is anger turned inward. Anger flows outward.
