Advantages are that you can now vote, run for political office, diplomatic help/protection when traveling overseas, ability to apply for sensitive jobs (government, police, teacher, etc...) and as a citizen, you cant be deported to your country of origin.

Disadvantage are that some countries dont allow dual nationality and will cancel your original citizenship (with the loss of whatever rights that country grants their own citizens) and that in some parts of the world, knowledge of your citizenship status might make you a decapitation target.

Please note that both citizens AND green card holders are required to pay taxes on their worldwide income.
