There is no special trick to this. You need to be generally fit. The various Military Branches publish their fitness test requirements to both qualify and what you will have to achieve to successfully pass basic training. It will be helpful if you can pass the graduation fitness level when you enter the service. So my advice is to look up what the requirement is and run and play basketball or surf or what ever, Weight train a couple times a week and in a few months you will be able to pass the requirements.
