Open-ended questions can lead to more varied responses, making it challenging to quantify or summarize the data collected. They may also be time-consuming to analyze due to the amount of information provided. Additionally, respondents may feel overwhelmed or unsure of how to frame their answers in the absence of specific guidelines.
