South Korea is a very free country because it is republican but North Korea has a dictator so it is very restricted. Also South Korea is full of pop culture and other things like that while North Korea's is controlled so expressing yourself is NOT an option. Also, it can be very stressful with the Communist North Korea.

North Korea is a country that is ruled by Dictatorship, and it also happens to be a communist state. South Korea, on the other hand, is a democracy with capitalist values. They differ in many ways. South Korea can be lived in by almost anyone (I lived there) whereas North Korea has closed it's borders to foreigners and even South Koreans! I generally found South Korea and the Capital - Seoul - where I lived a friendly, pleasant place. Never went to the North - it was patrolled by armed guards anyway - but wouldn't really have wanted to. It's considered quite dangerous :P especially by the Americans actually... (nuclear weapons)
