le, la, l' you put them unfront of nouns :)
you can't say the front in french but you can say in front which is devant.
The water front would be spelled 'le front de mer' (by the seaside or ocean) in French. A house on a lake shore would be said 'sur la rive / sur le rivage (du lac)'.
The front door is "la porte de devant" in French.
