Are the Easter Island Heads been eroded from when they were first built and how?

Yes. Moais aren't eternal. It is known that their level has decreased from 15 to 20 centimeters due to erosion caused by wind, water, sun and the action of men and animals. In 1981 an expert in monuments conservation from UNESCO studied and defined the treatment for moais. The procedure consist in drying the statue, isolating it from rain, to remove all microorganisms like fungus, lichen and algaes and to add a chemical 10 cms deep to avoid physical damage due hits. After that an impermeable solution should be added to avoid water from entering inside.

89 jeep Cherokee while driving at night you heard a pop and all of your lights except your turn signals went out all of the bulbs and fuses are good HELP?

sounds like you blew a (some) fusible link in the light circuit. Check the harnesses to see if the wires are chaffed or shorted. Bottom line is you let the smoke out and its bad (just kidding). Hopefully you will find something in that order, good luck.....................Mike I concur. I would say with 90% certainty that if you look at your fusable links you will find one that has burned out. In my own experience (with a '90 Cherokee Laredo) I discovered one night that I had no lights whatsoever except turn signals and dome light. After thoroughly checking the fuses, I "accidentally" discovered that a fusable link (under the hood on the passenger's side, about a foot from the battery) had completely fried--the insulation had even melted totally off the wiring. Unfortunately, if yours is the same one as mine, you'll be looking at junk yards to try to replace it--I had no luck finding a new one (and I sure wasn't going to the dealership!) Best of luck.
