Islam is a faith which believes in strict monotheism. It guides us in all the spheres of our life. It ordains us to follow the faith and strives to be better human beings. It believes in a life after this life where every one of us will have to face the consequences of his or her deeds during his/ her worldly life. "Verily, God orders you to be just and compassionate, and helping to people close to you and (He) warns you against the vulgarities, prohibited things and rebellion (against God)." God who created us has not left us without guidance as to how to live our lives. This guidnace is summarised in the holy Quran, the final among the scriptures of God, the 'Last Testament' which has to be understood in the light of the teachings of the final prophet of God, Mohammad (pbuh). There is an elaborate concept of rewards and punishments in our lives hereafter for our good and bad deeds in this world. God knows our hearts and we cannot escape his justice even if we become successful in hiding our sins from others in this life. Likewise, we will be rewarded for our virtues in our afterlife even if we get nothing for them here in this world. Islam, unfortunately, is the most misunderstood faith. It is misinterpreted by the terrorists who try to hide behind it after their heinous crimes. In absence of a central spiritual leadership in the present world every one feels free to interpret it's teachings according to his or her own whims. This creates great confusion among the people who don't know much about this faith.
Purpose of life in Islam is to do good deeds for the benfit of nature and mankind and to worship Allah (God in English) as the one and only one God with no partner, no son, no companion, and no associate.
