There are no elements in Norse magic. There were three basic types of Norse magic. Seidr, which was typically the woman's magic, which involved entering a trance, the typical man's magic, Galdr, which is the poetic, singing magic, and rune sorcery.

You may also see Voelva as a separate magic. These women were seeress' and did it through intuition and dreams. They are often lumped into the Seidr category because they are women, and a Seidr witch could divine the future by summoning the dead voelva.
