A photo array are pictures viewed by a victim or witness. There are usually a minimum of six photos which are similar to the suspect picture, which is placed in a random position of the six.
An in-person line up is when a victim or witness views a number of people live, one of which is thought to be the suspect.
As a side note, although some television shows have shown this as a common occurrence, a in-person line up is very rare and easily challenged in court as unduly suggestive.
