here are three reasons to freeze food:

1) you can cook and bake in bulk and freeze the food in separate portions. Use the portions as you need them thus saving time and energy.

2) cooking larger portions is cheaper than making small portions.

3) you can buy food while it is in season and at its best and cheapest. Then freeze it raw or cooked.

Please note some foods are unsuitable for freezing such as: eggs, cream, potatoes, sauces, cheese...

Other foods may not be as good after freezing such as: strwaberries, they go soft.
