To balance our diets and get more unprocessed food inside us the medics (and some governments) are promoting the need for us to eat more vegetables and fresh fruit and fibre in our diets.
Five servings from the fruits and vegetables food group is recommended because these foods are high in vitamins and minerals that are needed to stay healthy and for our digestive system to keep healthy and active. Fruit and vegetables help regulate our digestive systems and make us less prone to cancer.
