There are a number of great reasons to get stomach stapling done instead of other types of weight loss procedures. The most important of these reasons is the less invasive nature of stomach stapling. The real down side with many of these procedures is how invasive they are. So when you are presented with the option to have a weight loss procedure done that is less invasive and provides similar results, it can be very attractive. Also, stomach stapling is often much more cost effective than other types of procedures. This is mostly due to the age of the procedure.

A stomach staple, simply put, is a surgery that restricts the stomach and makes it smaller. After this procedure is performed, the patient, when eating, will feel fuller more quickly than before the surgery. Recovery time after a stomach staple surgery is between three and five weeks long.

After surgery, the patient is recommended to eat only one cup of food at a time. He or she must eat slowly, chewing thoroughly, to allow the body time to realize that it is full. Overeating can cause discomfort or nausea. It may take time to get used to the new appetite.
