Nairs of Kerala are Hindus. Most of the festivals in Kerala are not for Nairs alone. Festivals like Onam, Vishu etc. are celebrated by all Hindus of Kerala. Hindus outside Kerala have their own festivals. Eg. 'Holi' is not celebrated in Kerala. Essentially the difference is that nairs are a Dravidian tribe and Kerala soceity at large is of Dravidian origin like the majority of people in the four states of southern India. Some of the Tamil festivals like Thypooyam, Pongal etc are also Hindu festivals but not celeberated in northern parts of India. Nairs are in the forefront of organizing, celeberating most of the festivals and are great exponents of classical art forms, music and other cultural activities in Kerala.
