Bias is when we have a separation or lack of unity (bi means two from Latin) within one's own mind. Bias when it comes to preference of situation is normal. One may be bias or prefer one sport over another. One may prefer sports over Board Games. Bias in my own mind to enjoy one sect of inspiration over another (agnostics over atheists for example) would be a sickness in my own mind. I think, by not envisioning one species in unity it is merely what we are not doing that is the problem. Is bias good or bad? Yes and no. Good when I want to do something in action in preference over another. It is also good to be bias when disagreeing with someone else's bad principles in order to have a clean honest heart. Hopefully when one expresses constructive bias we may be able to deny mind thought that they are on the opposite side in bias . Bad when I rate another human being in separation. When I want someone to be a thumb and they act like a pinky finger is it good to create a war on my own hand? We are all fingers on the same hand. Let's get a good grip on life. Be bias in situation not with what I see as brothers and sisters. Please.
