What are the basic needs of all cells in a body?

There is NO basic need for ALL living cells. That said, most living cells require oxygen and/or sunlight. There are some, however, that live deep in the ocean where there is no sun. They have adapted to living down there and some have even evolved to be blind. Deep, deep, in the ocean organisms have been found that need no oxygen. It has been suggested that some of them use other chemicals, like sulfer, to fulfill similar requirements.

Water, food and oxygen are supposed to be the basic needs of the body cells. The washing away the waste products of metabolism and carbon bi oxide is as necessary. All the body cells work together for one common goal. Existence in the universe as one individual self.
