the beliefs of karma is basically, if you do something bad, something bad will happen to you, if you do something good, something good will happen to you. even if it takes years, karma will always take affect. the saying is, what goes around comes around
Not all people do. But most Hindus, Buddhists, and other followers of eastern spirituality share this belief. Hinduism asserts that you are not this body-- you inhabit a body, but you are a spirit-soul who will die and then be reborn (reincarnated) until you have worked off all of your sinful behavior. Hindus believe that who you are today is either a reward or punishment for who you were in a past life. Karma refers to that reward or punishment-- if you have performed your religious duty (dharma) and have been ethical in your lifetime, you will get good karma and a better birth in the next life; if you did not perform your duty and were unethical, you will get a lower birth. Hindus thus believe that what you do will come back to you sooner or later.
In the western faiths, while they may not call it karma, there are certainly beliefs like "you will reap what you sow." Many Christians, for example, believe that you will either go to heaven or hell depending on what kind of life you lived. They do not believe in repeat births, but believe you will be rewarded or punished when you die-- that God (and Jesus) will judge you and you will get what you deserve in the after-life, depending on how you acted in this current life.
Because I believe that what goes around comes around too, so be nice
"cz it's the basis of life.Without karma you can't make dharma.
Karma is determined by the past deeds in their previous lives.

Two important Hindu beliefs presented in the Vedas are the concepts of karma, the principle that one's actions have consequences that impact future lives, and dharma, the moral duty and righteousness that each individual must follow in order to maintain balance and order in the universe.
Some of the shared beliefs of Buddhism and Hinduism are rebirth and Karma
Hindu beliefs depend on the person. But commonly these three can be taken as major beliefs: 1. 'Dharma' (duty and righteous action being more important than belief in Gods and Goddesses. 2. Rebirth according to karma (good and evil deeds). 3. Polytheism.
Hinduism has diverse beliefs. Their central belief is Vedas (oldest Indian sacred text) and Brahmans (priest) authorities, reincarnation, and the law of karma.
AUM (or om) is a sound used in Hindu meditation, and karma is a measurement of personal virtue that is an important part of Hindu spiritual beliefs, so both of these are aspects of the Hindu religion.
