Well.. most people in Nepal are spiritual, but in terms of religion .. we have a huge number of hidus, followed by Buddhist.. Buddhism and hiduism is practiced side by side!! Its practiced together and might be bit difficult to diffrentiate between a Buddhist and a Hindu cause they practice both.. unless a Tibetan Buddhist... Now, At the same time, Nepalese are not orthodox hindus as their beliefs are tied to their own cultural practices (not religious) religion is shaped based on culture.. cause culture came first thn the religion!!
We also have a minor population of Muslims and other religions. But we live in harmony.
80.6 percent of Nepalese are Hindu, 10.7 percent are Buddhist, 4.4% are Muslim, 3.6 percent are Kirat (an indigenous religion with Hindu influence), 0.5 percent are Christian, and 0.4 percent are classified as other groups such as Bon religion
Hindu 81%, Buddhism 11%, Muslim 4%.
