assuming you're talking about Nashville, Tennessee, the absolute best neighborhood in nashville is belle meade, but it's also the most expensive. parts of bellevue are really good too, and green hills is also very good, but the public schools in nashville are kind of ghetto. in between belle meade and green hills is where i grew up. i lived in a neighborhood by Montgomery bell academy with lots of kids my age and it was a nice, safe place for us kids to just run around without supervision. i did go to one of the ghetto high schools (hillsboro), and i turned out just fine. there's also neighborhoods outside of nashville that are good, like places in brentwood. but i recommend green hills, it's not too expensive, there's lots of things nearby that are within walking/biking distance, and i loved growing up there. if you plan on raising your kids there, i recommend sending them to private school or at least magnet school for middle and high school, the elementary schools are good though. hope that helps!
