It depends what takes your liking. If it is the history of the island- Pearl Harbor is a must see in terms of American History. Honolulu Zoo is a great see with a variety of animals, Sunset beach is a must see for keen surfers and if shopping takes your fancy then the Ala Moana shopping center is an open air world class shoppers delight.
Very good answer. Would add in the Iolani Palace, and the US Army Museum of the Pacific at Ft. DeRussy in Waikiki. A short drive up the Pali Highway is Queen Emma's Summer Palace (small, but worth the visit) and a stop at the Pali overlook- breathtaking view of Kaneohe and the Pacific. For shopping, besides Ala Moana, stop by the Aloha Tower.
