The biggest tires you can put on a 4 cyl is different than what you should put on a 4 cyl. Large tires will make the 4 cyl work much harder. Also the suspension matters- both if stock or lifted & the condition it is in. The largest that will fit nicely without much or any rubbing is 31 inch. Anything larger requires a lift. Any lifts over 4 inches will change the rear drive shaft angle & cause problems so a slip yoke eliminator will be needed to avoid stressing the U-joints. The 4 cyl will probably handle the 31s OK and depends on what size you have on now determines how much difference you will notice.
