A rider's calves should be below them, in line with their hip andsholder in English.(knees bent)
HOWEVER in Western a rider's calves should be in front of them, with their knee at a slight angle.
To increase a horses speed while riding all you have to do is squeez with your calves
a riding horse is a horse you can ride. There is also a breed called Riding Pony.

It is: L'equitation. Horse riding rocks!
yes, especially with English riding it is very challenging to ride correctly& get your horse to go or control the horse. so English riding works out your calves, arms& sometimes even abs. also western riding can be a workout too but it targets more of your upper thighs and sometimes calves. Any style of riding is much more challenging than most people think& the horse does NOT do all the work for you. there are many ponies& horses that are easy to ride but most horses are not very easy to ride& you have to use your muscles to properly control the horse& make it do the proper style of riding you are trying to achieve. & BTW: if you've ever seen SHOW JUMPING, where the horses jump 4 ft+ courses, that is NOT easy. that is the hardest type of riding which takes many years of practice to be able to do properly and safely. ( well as safe as jumping 4ft on a horse can be)
Rodeo
yes they do like horse riding.
you can get a horse-riding helmet at your local saddlery
It means that riding on a horse is not allowed
Horse riding is an all year sport.
It can. Gymnastics requires balance and strength, just like riding. However, like the answer beneath me, horse riding improves horse riding the best- but it's not necessarily the only thing to improve riding. No not really. Horse riding improves horse riding. That is pretty much it. It is so unique in itself that it is the only thing that will improve itself.
