Most aftermarket stereo head units have a generic set of colours for each wire.
Black=Ground(-)
Yellow=Battery/Memory backup(+12v)
Red=Accessories/Ignition switch (+12v)
Blue/White=Amp remote turn on(+12v)
Grey=Front right +
Grey/black=front right -
white/black=front left -
white=front left +
green=rear left +
green/black=rear left -
purple=rear right +
purple/black=rear right -
There may also be:
blue=power antenna
orange/white= illumination wire (connect to head lights or dash lights +)
brown=mute
blue=tel switch

if you buy a hayns book it has all the wireing diograms for the whole car. it helped me with the stero wires cause i couldn't find a harness to put in an aftermarket stero.
